Silver Spring Networks (SSN) is hiring a Program Administrator in our Redwood City, California office.

What you will be doing:

In this role, you will work with utility customers and multiple internal teams to integrate SSN applications with new and existing applications within the utility’s back office. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies will be leveraged to build the integration points. Together, these integrated applications will be responsible for provisioning millions of network devices annually per utility, and processing tens of millions of daily transactions.

Essential Functions:

Perform the full range of contract and program administrative functions for a portfolio of large contracts with utility companies. This includes:

  • Identifying and tracking all contractual requirements, including project progress, project delivery processes, invoicing, receivables, warranties, calendaring renewal dates, notice requirements, reporting requirements, and escrow agreement obligations.
  • Providing contractual summaries and analysis and interpretation throughout the project.
  • Assuring project legal documents, such as non-disclosure agreements, letters of credit, and insurance policies, are in place.
  • Assisting the project manager in creating and tracking project work plans and processes.
  • Working with the finance group on financial tracking and following up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
  • Effectively communicating relevant project information to superiors through a consistent contract review process.
  • Closing out completed contracts.
  • Keeping track of lessons learned and providing input to contracting strategies intended to reduce risk, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve profitability.

This position reports to the General Manager, Region Operations.

Qualifications

  • Degree from a recognized college or university, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred. Qualifying experience may subs.
  • At least fiveyears relevant experience administering large, complex contracts.

  • Familiar with typical legal and project delivery requirements defined in contracts along with the standard contract concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent T&C analysis skills including ability to recognize & assess impacts on project execution.
  • Must demonstrate mature judgment and decision making and a history of pro-active involvement in strategic issues and problem resolution.
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to work with MS project and calendar, data base, spreadsheet and word processing software.
